Perfect Hat arriving in perfect condition – UPDATE 6/30/20
I ordered this hat for my father based on its look and the reviews. The reviews are correct. This is an excellent hats. It’s constructed well, arrives in a protective packaging that keeps the brim from getting smashed. Contained in the package is cushioning in case you want the hat to fit a little more snug. The hat also has an adjustment band inside. If your head measurements meets the upper limit of a particular hat size’s measurement, my suggestion is to just buy the next size up. This way you can always use the padding or adjustment band to get a perfect fit. You won’t be able to stretch the hat out if you buy a hat that fits snug rather than comfortable.I was going to buy another hat for the same price from a fashion website with the intials BR, but that hat looks less classy than this hat from Pineapple Star. I bought this hat for my father and he looks amazing in it. He’s in his mid 70’s and I wanted him to have a hat to shade his face & head but look dressier than a boonie hat but less formal than a fedora. The brim on this hat isn’t floppy but you can still finesse it into a style that suits you.I liked this hat so much that I purchased one for myself.UPDATE: 6/30/20 The hat I purchased for myself just arrived!This is definitely a stylish hat. The size small fits better than the large. I noticed, like others, that the hat seems shallow and doesn’t come down to the ears. I saw some photos of women with their hats fitted down to their ears. Mine left about 2 inches above the ear. So I pulled that hat down with a little force to bring it closer to my ears. I kept hearing a tearing sound as I pulled it down. I took the hat off to inspect it but there were no tears in the material. I checked the inside and I realized it was the velcro strap that was slowly pulling apart as I pulled the hat down. So I just unlatched the velcro connection and voila, the hat proceeded to come down to my ears WITHOUT pushing the indented crown part of the hat outward. So now I have a perfect fit, a perfect look, all thanks to a perfect hat. I highly recommend this hat. It’s classy yet casual and definitely not floppy. The brim is stiff enough to maintain its shape yet flexible enough for you to bend it into the shape that you want. It will then hold that shape.Thanks PineApple & StarPRO TIP: If your hat fits snug out the box, simply undo the velcro belt on the inside. Feel free to pull the hat down further on your head. You won’t damage the hat.

Stylish sun protection
I’m not really a hot person but I’m trying to be. I wanted a hat for a trip to Miami that I could use on a boat and that would protect me from the sun while walking around. I didn’t want a hat that looked like it was just for the beach. This hat worked perfectly. We went on a speedboat and the strap allowed me to keep the hat on my head without having to hold it. I wore this hat during the day, to a baseball game and at night, it fit in wherever I went. I wore this hat in the airport instead of packing it because I didn’t want it to lose it’s shape. One of the things I like about it is the rigid brim, it doesn’t cover your eyes so you can have conversations with people and see what’s in front of you without having to constantly be lifting the hat brim up. The hat is well-made, it feels expensive, sturdy stylish. I like the color I like the trim detail and I like that it has a strap. I attach the strap and tucked it inside the hat when I didn’t need it and pulled it out when I didn’t eat it . I was very close to the size small / medium measurements(7.14) and chose to go up in size to a size medium. The Velcro adjustable strap inside works perfectly so I could adjust the hat smaller and it fit snugly lower on my head, closer to my ears. I would highly recommend this hat.

Pretty good for the price
The design/color is very nice. It’s quite well made too. I originally ordered Medium, but it was a little bit tight. I wanted to check out Large, so I ordered one while I kept Medium. The circumference of the large is a lot bigger than the medium, and the crown is taller than medium. I decided to keep the large because I have a lot of hair, and felt better to wear it deep. I tightened/adjusted the circumference with the inner adjustment strip. The only complaint I have is that I could not find the holes for the chin strap on neither one – medium or large. I contacted the customer service, and watched the video they sent me, but I still couldn’t. The stitches they use to sew the sweatband is tight and there aren’t any spots that stitches were missing (to make a hole.)Another thing that I noticed – the medium was sent from somewhere else (maybe China?) and it took a few weeks, but the brim felt thicker, and overall it looked nicer. The packaging was also much nicer. It was in the box like the product photos shown above. I got the large one in a few days, but it was sent in a plastic hat-shaped mold inside the usual Amazon gray plastic bag. It was squashed a little bit.

High Quality Hat
This is a very well made hat and it looks great. I agree with the manufacturer’s statement that the quality of the straw is much better than typical hats in this price range. I see the “frequently returned” alert from Amazon, yet the high rating. The hat runs a little large, so I am guessing the returns are for sizing.

I’ve had this hat for over a year and it’s been dragged around the world in suitcases but still retains it’s shape. I don’t roll it, I just pack stuff around it. Without the chin strap I would have lost it a hundred times. When I’m not using the strap I just tuck it into the tag at the back. Would never buy a hat without this option again. I have a smaller head so was concerned it would be too big but with the adjustment it’s perfect.

Es un producto que se ve resistente, de buen material, un poco pesado por no ser de paja natural, otro factor muy a su favor es que no es unitalla se adquiere por tallas, en mi caso ha sido un poco caro por pagar aranceles de importación, pero al final estoy contento con el producto y más porque llego en buen estado gracias a la envoltura semiflexible de plástico.
