Well made and good quality embroidery. Served on her in 75-79 as Aerographers Mate. Wish they had the CV-59 choice as the carrier changed designations from CVA-59 to CV-59 in 1975. This is my third time in reordering in the last few years. Have many compliments and recognition for my service.

i served on uss forrestal in the early 70’s and there was never a profile of the ship on the caps we wore

Hat is fine..
Hat is fine…however, when I served aboard her she did not have that “antenna” structure. Don’t remember ever seeing that in photos at anytime .

I am very pleased with this hat
This is the first Forrestal hat I have found that has CVA-59 on it, which is what it was when I was assigned to it. Most hats that you find now have CV-59 on them. I am very pleased with this hat.
